Entering the American Safety Equipment Market

North America’s largest annual fire safety show, FDIC, took place in Indianapolis, Indiana during the last week of April. In attendance were over 30,000 visitors and 850 exhibitors, each vying for a piece of the world’s largest safety market.

Americans have a unique mindset and are motivated in a very different way than Europeans. As a result successful European safety equipment manufacturers must revise their marketing communications and “Americanize” their sales materials, including advertising, press releases, trade exhibits/booths, web sites etc.

Muir Marketing Communications International has been active in the international safety industry for over 16 years, primarily helping manufacturers “localize” their sales messages to foreign markets. We were delighted to renew old business relationships and establish many new ones.
