The logistics of qualitative market research have certainly changed! In the past a conference room needed to rented for full or mini focus groups. Subjects needed to be invited and expenses paid.
A new option is research conducted using Skype video or audio interviews. These interviews can be easily recorded so clients can study and replay them. They experience emotions not easily conveyed in written findings.
We recently examined customer attitudes toward our Siberian client’s Graphics Mill product for image resizing and manipulation. The respondents came from such diverse locations as France, India, Denmark, Vietnam and the USA.
The findings will help guide our new marketing program. Detailed customer responses about the Graphics Mill’s technical features will also be studied.
